Like Many New Yorkers, Katherine Chen is a dog owner and avid animal lover. Born and raised in Fresh Meadows, Katherine has lived in many locations from Williamsburg to Gramercy, to currently Far Rockaway, Queens. When she arrived in Far Rockaway, in December 2010, she wondered why there were little to no options when it came to alternative pet care, especially since it is such a developed community with many pet owners. Her entrepreneurial spirit prompted her to form Rockaway Dog Walking, a local dog walking and sitting service providing reliable and quality pet care.
As a locally owned business, Rockaway Dog Walking is devoted to keeping Far Rockaway dogs healthy, happy and protected. Naturally, pet owners lead a hectic life, with busy personal and professional schedules; Rockaway Dog strives to relieve its clients by arranging dependable pet care at an affordable rate.
Before services begin, an appointment for a private consultation in your home can be set up in order to get to know the dog and owner, and where individual pet needs can be discussed. Services offered are dog walking at 30-minute increments, and dog sitting- don’t worry about leaving your pup home alone; count on Rockaway Dog to keep your canine happy and occupied, whether for a few hours of the work day or for days during your vacations out of town.
